Anacacho Orchid
Bauhinia lunarioides
Anacacho Orchid is a dainty, multi-stemmed native tree that earns its name with delicate orchid-like blooms in shades of white to soft pink, appearing in spring and often reblooming after summer rains. Typically reaching 8-12 feet tall, it features distinctive butterfly-shaped leaves and an open, airy canopy that casts light, dappled shade. Perfectly at home in the rocky limestone soils of Central and West Texas, it is an excellent choice for courtyard gardens, patios, and small-space landscapes.
