Ash Juniper, commonly called Cedar across the Texas Hill Country, is a resilient, aromatic evergreen tree that forms the backbone of countless native landscapes across Central Texas and northern Mexico. Growing 15-25 feet tall, its dense, irregular canopy provides critical year-round cover and nesting habitat for songbirds, including the endangered Golden-cheeked Warbler.
