Lacey Oak is one of the most beloved and ornamentally rewarding native oaks in the Texas Hill Country, prized for its distinctive blue-green to gray-green foliage that gives it a soft, cool quality through the long summer months. Growing 20–35 feet tall with a rounded, well-proportioned canopy, it produces some of the most reliable and attractive fall color of any native oak by transitioning through soft peach, salmon, and burnt orange before dropping its leaves. Perfectly adapted to the thin limestone soils and dry conditions of its native range, it is a genuine Hill Country treasure.
