Silver Leaf Oak

Quercus hypoleucoides

Silver Leaf Oak is a fast-growing, semi-evergreen native oak from the sky island mountain ranges of the Chihuahuan Desert, prized for its dramatically beautiful foliage, deep, glossy green on top with vivid silver-white undersides that flash brilliantly in the wind, creating a shimmering, two-toned effect unlike any other oak. Growing 30-50 feet tall with an upright, well-proportioned canopy, it is exceptionally adapted to rocky, well-drained soils and dry conditions, making it one of the most ornamentally striking drought-tolerant trees available for the Southwest landscape.
